The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)/111 divert service has been established to divert activity away from the UTC and 111 services for patients with same day, urgent care needs that cannot be seen in a primary care setting. For those diverted from Newham University Hospital in particular, the service provides improved quality of access for patients by taking activity away from the on-site UTC service. UTC appointments are predominately hosted at Glen Road Medical Centre and Essex Lodge Surgery which are close in proximity to Newham University Hospital. 111 telephone appointments can go through our GPs who will be based across different hubs throughout Newham.
